These picture threads are great to help get you considering a purchase that you might not have thought of otherwise. Lots of cool stuff out there. I will start it off with three... a rare Glock and a couple of suppressed handguns.

Glockboy,
IF you are not a BATFE "Plant" from Arlington, VA, you must be aware BATFE Headquarters is nearby. Are you a NFA person to own "Supressed" handguns? How long have you had "Suppressed Handguns" and Why? What is your Class III License Number for the supressed handguns? What was the cost of the Tax Stamp for each and the date of Certification? Yep, we ALL should show pictures of our guns right here on an OPEN Forum the BATFE can view.
Well, not today, fellow. What is your Case Number for this posting? Be well.

North America
In Canada, a device to muffle or stop the sound of a firearm is a "prohibited device" under the Criminal Code.[14] A prohibited device is not inherently illegal in Canada but it does require an uncommon and very specific prohibited device license for its possession, use, and transport. Suppressors cannot be imported into the country by civilians[15]; special licensing is required for businesses to import and sell suppressors, and they are typically only available to law enforcement, conservation agencies and the military.
The United States taxes and strictly regulates the manufacture and sale of suppressors under the National Firearms Act. They are legal for individuals to possess and use for lawful purposes in thirty-eight of the fifty states.[16] However, a prospective user must go through an application process administered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which requires a Federal tax payment of USD 200.00 and a thorough criminal background check. The USD 200.00 buys a tax stamp, which is the legal document allowing possession of a silencer. The market for used suppressors in the U.S. is consequently very poor, which has driven innovations in the field (buyers want the height of technology, because they are basically "stuck" with the purchase). Primitive suppressors are available in other countries for under USD 40,[17] but they are usually of crude construction, using cheap materials and baffle designs that were obsolete in the United States by the 1970s. While suppressors in the US are more expensive (hundreds to thousands of dollars), they are generally built with highly advanced baffle stacks and exotic materials like Inconel and high-grade heat-treated stainless steels.[original research?] Several states and municipalities explicitly ban any civilian possession of suppressors.
The Federal legal requirements to manufacture a suppressor in the United States are enumerated in Title 26, Chapter 53 of the United States Code.[18] The individual states and several municipalities also have their specific requirements.

Glockboy,
[B]IF you are not a BATFE "Plant" from Arlington, VA, you must be aware BATFE Headquarters is nearby.
Good grief! I will will try to address your concerns each in turn. I am the same Glockboy who joined this forum more than 10 years ago! I was living in Vermont then, just finishing up law school. I now practice firearms law in DC. I do not work for the ATF though I do work with them about every day on client matters. I have written several Legal Side column articles in Small Arms Review Magazine as well. I'd like to think that I am one of the good guys!
Are you a NFA person to own "Supressed" handguns? How long have you had "Suppressed Handguns" and Why?
I am not sure what makes one a "NFA Person" but I am not an FFL/SOT, nor do I need to be in order to lawfully own suppressed firearms. As to your next question, I have gotten into NFA firearms in the last eight years or so and I own them because they are damn cool! With that suppressed Glock 26, you fire, hear a noise like loud gas escaping (rather than the usual BOOOM!!) a buzzing noise as the 158 gr. subsonic HP hauls downrange, then a WHAPPPP!!! when the bullet hits. The loudest part of the whole process is the bullet hitting the target. Now THAT IS COOL!! And I have been a convert ever since. Plus, it disturbs the neighbors less!
What is your Class III License Number for the supressed handguns? What was the cost of the Tax Stamp for each and the date of Certification?
As stated above, one does not need to become a FFL/SOT in order to lawfully possess suppressors. The cost of the transfer tax is one time, $200 fee, paid every time a NFA transfers from one entity to another. There are exceptions of course but lets keep this brief.
Yep, we ALL should show pictures of our guns right here on an OPEN Forum the BATFE can view.
I have nothing to hide as all my firearms, including my machineguns, suppressors, AOW's etc. are legally possessed. I started this picture thread to get the conversation rolling about the cool handguns we all love and enjoy. So this is a very good start. I wish someone had turned me onto this stuff well before it finally caught my attention eight years back, so little time, so many cool toys out there. I am here, as I was way back when when I joined this Forum, to learn, educate, help and be a good member of the forum. Tell you what, check out this link to some of my hunting pictures, I am one of you (and seriously addicted to bowhunting!) that should further establish my credentials with my hunting brethren here:

Man, that is Sweeeet! You know, if I could only have one handgun, that one right there would be at the top of the list. Reliable, powerful, and awesome! Nice!

You must know your apples there, GB, because I have to guess at what that one is.... Oh, wait - yeah, there's a Smith sticker on the box, isn't there? Thought I recognized the logo through the shine.... So, what, a .44M?
Probably too big for my hands, but otherwise right in line with what I'm looking at as a potential one-and-only. A 5-shooter with a 3.5-4" barrel maybe oughtta do it....
Funny... Around here, the ultimate in a useful, suppressed firearm would be a 20-ga. slug rifle....

Glockboy,
Many thanks for the clarification. As a retired federal agent, I am suspicious of posts asking, "How many guns you guys got?" or "Show me some pictures of your guns." Perhaps if you had stated your qualifications in the first post, my suspicions would have been put aside. I apologize for being suspicious. We routinely "cruised" for potential cases at my old agency.

No worries my friend. It is good to be back. Hoping to finally draw a Maine moose tag and, hopefully, a South Dakota West River Buck tag. Looking forward to Fall already.
