That would be me!

Started in Mid-February and ended with final weigh-in today. I started at 263.5# and weighed in at and even 225 today.

I stopped drinking all types of soda waters. I stopped taking plain sugar in any drink (coffee, Tea, etc..) I stopped eating bread and starchy foods. My breakfast most days was two pieces of pan sausage, lunch was two slices of ham and a slice of cheese. I ate the supper #1 wife made for me, one plate, no seconds except vegies or meat. On the weekends I ate as I pleased with moderation but still no sugars. I ate all the fruit I wanted, any time I wanted (apples, bananas, pears) plus all the raw vegies like carrots and celery I wanted. I stuck with my two cups of coffee in the mornings and tried not to eat anything after 6:30 PM. I switched to 1% milk (I love milk).

I'm going to keep going till I get to 200#. I have cut my Blood Pressure Meds in half because with the lost weight with a full dose my BP drops to the point that I think I'm going to pass out.

Plus I won $60!

Just wanted to brag a bit!

Alan

:biggrin:Good for you!!! I am going to have to do something soon the way I am going, but I am thinking a little physical activity first. I have gotten very lazy and need to do a few push up, situps and walks. I guess once a month kayak paddles aren't enough.

Super Job !!

I have an extra 20 I'd be more than happy to donate in case you start feeling light headed !!

Man I wish I had your fortitude, quitting smoking 7 years ago was easier than dropping this 20#'s !!

Bill, who said that you need to think of it all at once in a 20# increment. Drop five as your goal, then another five when you feel up to it. I watch the kid and his buddies eat anything and everything, only play X-box for exercise and still he has six pack abs. Youth has it's advantages as their metabolism is way higher than ours is. The best exercise I have found is that push up away from the table. I know way easier said than done because seeing you guys recurrent names down in the cooking forum makes me realize that lots of you know your way around the kitchen. Maintaining a 34" waist is much easier when everything that I cook doesn't taste like anyone would ever ask for seconds.

I've been holding steady at 225#. The initial weight loss part was pretty hard. I've been in a circling mode for a while getting ready for Summer to shave off that other 25#. Summertime loss is easy because I work outside more and eat less. On e thing I have found is that when I eat something high protein/low carb in the morning I am really not very hungry at lunch. I don't really think about eating until I'm actually eating. Then I get hungry. That's when things get dangerous. Then I make a bee line for the door and get the Hell away from food. I had a piece of cake today. First slice in months. It was good.
