How do you like them compared to other brands, Whether or not you own one.
Thanks Robie.

Robie, Alaskans tend to use mostly yamaha and honda... I prefer the yamaha... do NOT get a polaris! I don't see that many Can-Am atvs in use so I really can't say... but you can't go wrong with the yamaha grizzly.

My Uncle has used one on the farm for the last five years to pull a fertilizer buggy and spray rig. It gets used a LOT and they don't have any trouble with it. I think they put about 1500 miles a year on it. They're good machines but they seem to be much more utility oriented and definitely not a sport machine. I have a ten year old Polaris with over 5000 miles and the only thing I've ever done to it was put a new temp sensor for the fan and a set of tires. It's been a great machine. I had a Yamaha before and it was nothing but trouble. There's good ones and bad ones.

Robie the wife and I spent a good part of checking out ATV's 2 years ago! The Bombadier was way over priced!!! Now if your going to go into racing, then their engine is worth the money but for regular off road usage and work chores, I just don't think you can beat a YAMAHA or Honda without that blessed "electric shift".......Who knows, maybe HONDA has gotten it fixed by now, so it will work out on the trails. It's only been 5 years since it's inception.

All that extra money for the Bombadier seems to be going for the insurance policy they offer you at purchase time. They were priced at least $1,500 dollars more than other brands similar in size etc.

What's with the "do not get a Polaris" thingy? I think sometimes people get hung up on the good and bad bit, without giving conclusive proof, it is all anecdotal conjecture.

The wife has a 2006 700 Sportsman and aside from hard on gas economy, it is a great machine.

I have a Kawasaki 400 Bayou with the five forward gear box that I bought new in 1998, used hard and it has never given a problem.
