What company do you use for buying cast bullets? I'm looking for one for .45ACP. I've been using Lasercast, and the are very accurate bullets. But there seems to be a wax on them that builds up in my dies. I used to buy Carrolls Cast Bullets but they went out of business a few years ago.
Or am I using the Lasercast incorrectly and getting the build up in my dies?
Thanks in advance,
Robie

Aardvark cast bullets. I have used these for over 10 years for all of my cast needs. They are hard. My 44 mag rifle uses 300's and is accurate for target out to 400 yards. I loaded these for a friend that took two deer in Montana. One shot was at 85 yards and the other was at 165 yards. The 85 yard kill was instantaneous. The 165 yard kill was about 30 feet away from where he shot it.
By the way, my barrels don't lead up. Just normal cleaning. And I shoot my 41 mags and 44 mags full house.
My 45 auto uses 200 gr. SWC's. At 850 fps with 5 gr. of Bullseye, I group 1 - 2 inches. Never saw the point in taking my precision scale out. At 50 yards, resting, 4 inch group. I'm happy.
I don't have wax build-up. I think I bell my brass a little more than I would for jackets. I don't want to see or risk shaving the bullets at all. If you're scraping wax, bell your brass a little more.

Thanks Bill. The bell may very well be the problem. I'll give it a try.
Thanks again,

If you follow Bill, I think he has nailed the problem. Anyone here ever heard of Bear Creek Supply moly coated cast bullets? I've used them for years in .45acp up to 250 gr. Laser Cast 200 gr Tuncated is the most accurate bullet I've fired out of my Twin Palms 1911. Shoot four inch stickers at 50 yards off the table.
