GF,
I got one of the 5.00 dollar sights you put me onto for my boys bow.
I see from mention in another thread that you replaced yours.
Ya wanna share why?
If it was mentioned in the old forum, I never got to read it.

It looks to be worth $5
And better than a matchstick painted at the tip with lumanous paint:D

I really wasn't at all unhappy with it... It seemed bright enough for legal hours around here (since we stop at sundown, and not after, and I don't get out in themornings too often) and I was hitting pretty well with it, especially after I shimmed it to get it pointed directly at the bullseye... But you know that center 'fence' that holds the pieces of FO line? Mine got bent somehow. Not shocking, considering how lightly constructed it has to be to be what it is.... Anyway, it bent back OK, but first the near-side leg broke, then the far-side, and now I just have the center support that's really workin'...

Don't know if I can blame it on the 3-year-old (or maybe the 6-year-old?), or if it's my bad because I occasionally laid the bow down on a hedge (to keep it out of reach of said 3-year-old). Either way, I decided I needed something a little brighter and a lot tougher, so when I saw a pretty good price on the Flashpoint, I went straight into the deep end in hopes of being done buying sights for the next 4-5 years... at least.

And I'm installing a hook on a handy tree so that I dont have to lay the bow down while retrieving arrows.... :o

OK,
Now I will see how long it lasts for my boy.
He's not the best at taking care of his things....yet!

It looks hard to beat at that price.

BTW I see a few (or saw) in e-bay and being sold by indaviduals, not buisnesses. They had them starting out at 25.00 if I recall correctly.
Some folks will try anything to make a buck.
