Once in a while i enjoy an all American lunch and the 4th seemed a perfect day. I enjoyed a chunky peanut butter sandwich on white bread, peach preserves (sorry grape jelly), and potato chips washed down by lemonade!:laugh::laugh:

Well, that's OK but I cooked a brisket and two racks of pork ribs. #1 wife stirred up some pork-n-beans and made corn on the cob. There were sliced tomatoes and cucumbers too. Later today, I've got a nice watermelon soaking in ice water in the ice chest.

I'm sure your PBJ was good though.

:laugh:Obviously the thread was a bit tongue in cheek.

The boy is in Germany visiting Grandparents and it is just the wife and I. We decided to let the back strap marinate until tomorrow and I took her out so dinner. I enjoyed a very tender chuck roat, new potatoes, corn on the cob, biscuits and corn bread. I did not feel slighted at all. I think in a few minutes I will enjoy a bit of Blue Bell cookie dough ice cream.

Hey that's an everyday fishing, hunting lunch- I'd not serve it on the Fourth and me thinks you may just be pulling our legs-or a pork shoulder?
