The Buckmasters American Deer Foundation is pleased to announce the formation of a new chapter serving Western Ohio. The BADF Western Ohio Chapter, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization has planned several activities for the upcoming year, and we'd appreciate your participation and support. Through the many established Buckmasters programs and the creative development of our Board and Membership, the Western Ohio Chapter will provide a positive environment focusing on community involvement, conservation partnerships, and passing on the traditions and values of our wildlife heritage. You can read about our chapter programs and events at www.ohiobuckmasters.org. Our inaugural banquet is scheduled for February 2011, and in the interim we are offering raffles, social events, and other fundraisers to help meet our Fall 2010 program objectives.

Immediately, we are holding our HUGE HUNTING GIVEAWAY. This is a 12-month long raffle where the prize of the month will include a bow, crossbow or gun with the purchase of a single ticket. Participants have 12 chances to win from July 2010 thru June 2011 for one $25 ticket, and there are also multiple ticket packages. We're also holding a Pig Roast Family Social with food and assorted activities in August, followed by a September Texas Hold'Em Event.

Funds from these activities will help us prepare for three scheduled Special Needs Deer Hunts: an October Archery Hunt, a November Youth Gun Hunt, and a January Muzzleloader Hunt. Details on the application and selection process are available on the web site. Additionally, we've partnered with Farmers & Hunters Feeding the Hungry (www.fhfh.org) for our hunger relief program, along with providing adaptive equipment grants for disabled hunters and our TAGS Program that rewards members for participating in the FHFH program. We are also an affiliate sales representative for BassPro Shops, and when you make purchases from BassPro thru our web site we receive a 5% return from BassPro for internet sales. We encourage you to utilize this special program to make transparent donations to the chapter, and we'll be sending information soon about the Kroger Community Rewards Program.

Each event or activity organized by BADF Western Ohio is designed to provide a rewarding experience for our participants and donors, and we need your help to make each one a success. We are looking for interested volunteers to help organize these activities, so please contact us if you'd like to become a part of our chapter. You can register with the chapter for our E-Newsletter and E-Mail Alerts to stay informed about upcoming events, and we ask that you take a few moments to do so when you visit the web site. Please share this information with your family and friends, and thank you for your kind consideration. We look forward to you joining us in making this chapter a success.
