AKA Bullwinkle J. Moose. And damn, but that's one sturdy-lookin' bull!

Very interesting technique.
It almost looks like what my buddies cow dog does. Irritate until the beast chases and then lead them where he wants them to go.

Ме? I don't know, this video is from USA or Canada, I think - rifle without iron sight (if I'm not mistaken), it's american stile.
Here are a lot of such filmes

Doesn't quite sound like they're speaking English - certainly not as it is spoken in the parts of the US where you'd find moose... I also couldn't make out the name on the label on the guy's day pack. That doesn't look like anything I've come across in the US, either...
The dog is a Norwegian Elk Hound - again, bearing in mind that 'elk' is their term for moose.... Don't know that that's a legal technique anywhere in the US, though it does show you once again what a well-trained dog can do for you. Funny thing, though... I always figured the dogs were used to run the animals down, not bring 'em charging in!

Maybe you are right. I haven't sound card on my comp. Dog looks like West Siberian Laika, popular breed in Russia.
I wonder if the Laika and the norwegian Elk Hound are maybe the same breed?
I followed your link to a version of the video with subtitles... definitely not English...
"OK, I admit it... My pants are full of the darkness".... LMAO

It looks like, but West-Sibirian is higher - 51-61 cm (20-24 ''), because it must work in deep snow

Nice looking dog but I sure don't want my moose hunt in my lap! That moose reminded my of the 1/4 mare I used to rope off of years ago. She could stop so hard, it would break a calfs neck and she could turn on a dime just like that moose did and give you 8cents change.
