Last weekend I went to our Tampa office to work for a couple of days, and stayed with my sister and her husband who is a disabled Vet.
He checked out a 24-foot pontoon boat from McDill Airforce Base (for free!) and I played Captain. We lined up a fishing guide and mate, and they took us to a hot spot where we loaded up on Spanish Mackerel using green-back minnows for bait. They are fun to catch, and the action was non-stop for 4 straight hours!

I also meant to post that my brother in law will be writing a magazine article on boat and fishing trip to raise awareness about the boat's availability and hopefully to inspire other disabled veterans to get out there and re-engage in life!

Thanks HiBall.... Yes, it's a nice set-up.

I hope that the publicity about the boat that the article he has written will get more disabled vets out there fishing. The boat is perfect for it.

My brother in law was in heaven out there, and had a grand time.
He caught 10 of the 17 fish we boated that day... definitely the one with the magic hands on that trip. :D

I will go far out of my way to help a Vet.
