He's fine except that his son made him retire from flying.
He came out a couple of years ago to shoot in a "Sharps" match at Riverbend Gun club in Dawson County. I met him and ate supper with him in Canton, Ga.
I had a good time. I need to go out and visit him.
Recently while helping the scouts shoot black powder, one of the scout leaders had a 4 bore flintlock. His minimun load was 200 grains of black powder behind a patched 1/4 pound lead ball.
The hunting load is 400 grains.
That's a rifle I really love to watch people shoot :)

Whoa .... 1/4 pounder ? Lets see that's how many grains ..... times four ounces ..... oh darn, I can't count that high.
Is that one man,....or crew served ? And does it still have to have wheels on it to be classed as 'artillery' ? :D

Ouch! What does he hunt with that thing?
My oldest son shoots black powder guns, rifles and pistols, but not that large a load.
