Other than powder charge, case length and crimp, what do I need to watch for.
I might just start.

No, it's just that I get tired of tryig to find .380 or the 115 gr HP 40s.
I'm starting to shoot pistols more.
I have a LCR (380) that's my summer carry and I need to shoot it more.
Plus I just bought glock 23 police tradein and I need to shoot it alot also.
Watch for the casing mouth to be crimped properly. If not it will hang up.

Bill Mc........I would start with having all the same brand brass for starters! If they are once or twice fired no big thing but of course do deprime, clean and weigh them afterwards. You sort them accordingly and check for length. I use a drill setup to trim cases........I hate that damn job the worst, like cleaning primer pockets etc.
Some calibers seem to be less prone to foul a pistol with powder residue than others. I like clean burn powders in my pistols that give good accuracy! The brand of primer you use can make a difference too, in the accuracy department.
My summer backup pistol is a Sig-232 in .380-auto. The wife has one of those Ruger LC something in .380-auto. I am running tests tomorrow as matter of fact with Cor-Bon and Hornady Defense ammo. I want to get her a Kahr in 9mm for her carry gun. Hell, she has a new Sig P-239 40 S&W but summer is here and wants someting smaller for crying out loud. I like it better than the Ruger but the Ruger is very accurate and has never jammed up or malfuntion once so far in a 100 rounds shot. Yes, it is a new pistol. I personally don't put a lot of faith in a .380 auto but they tell me this Cor-Bon ammo will do the trick! We shall see tomorrow and I hope all comes out real PEACHY BILL.
