Hogue Tamer Grips

Considering getting Hogue tamer grips for a Ruger Alaskan in 454 Casual... are they much better than the Hogue grips that come with that cannon?

AK, I hope so because I need a set of grips for that .460 of mine down in the vault. I plan on going over to the shooting range sometime this week, or get a friggin taxi maybe (need a driver) to look at and purchase some grips for various pistols that need better grips.

I am also planning with help of course, to do some pistol tests on the .40S&W, .380-auto, 45acp using Cor-Bon ammo. The wife needs new grips on her carry pistol.
