Tyson is a guy I'd go out of my way to avoid but good grief ...

What a tragedy ...

Loss of a child is always a tragedy and grief invoking no matter how disreputable the parent is.

If the death of a child doesn't break your heart, I guess you just don't have one....

The irony is, of course... My wife is worried that the boys will get into the guns and have an accident. I'm more scared of the cords on the window shades, the electrical sockets, the basement stairs and all the suburban housewives who can't unglue the phone from their ear long enough to drive through an intersection.....

Adults don't always see things in a house that kids can get into. I often thought that there would be a good sideline for someone, kid proofing a house. Sometimes just a family friend with that as an assignment will see things that parents don't. As a baby my youngest rolled his walker down the basement stairs and landed on the concrete floor. You or I would have broken our neck, but he thought that it was a pretty neat ride and didn't even cry! Accidents can happen, but a little prevention goes a long way.

If you wanna see what kind o' trouble kids can get into, you've gotta get down on your hands & knees. All manner of interesting stuff you can see from down there, even if Momma isn't wearing a skirt  ;)

But yep, a fresh pair of eyes is a great resource. If you were accustomed to it, you could just about have an unguarded table saw humming away in the middle of the living room and forget that it's not a healthy thing to leave little kids around...

I'm a lot better at noticing the hidden dangers that lurk outside of my own home, so I'm never offended when somebody points something out....

Adults have to train themselves to be constantly aware of where the kids are and what they're doing. It isn't easy, but it can be done. A little prep, a little change in habits--making sure that dangerous objects are out of reach, locked up, out of sight of those inquiring little eyes.

A tragedy to be sure.

I look around our house and see that it's not very 'baby proof.'

First thing I did after the grand-babies were born was to buy a gun and ammo safe.

A tragedy to be sure, but it takes 4 minutes to strangle. That's a long time for a 4-year old to be out of touch, even at home. Especially at four, that's the Indiana Jones age. Such a sad thing to happen. The mother will never get over it.

We all hate to hear of tragedy when it involves a child, lots of tears for everybody to shed in such cases. I am very sorry his daughter lost her life by way of accident. However, she is now in heaven with the LORD ALMIGHTY a place where we all hope to be come the ending of our human life.

Mike Tyson was one of the most gifted heavyweight fighters of all time! Now by that I mean he had great Knock-OUT Power in either hand. It is a real shame that he did not go with former champ Floyd Patterson, when he had the chance. Mr. Patterson would have kept him on the straight of things I do believe but life is nothing but making decisions, good or bad and Mike Tyson always seemed to be on the wrong end of the decision making.
