They look good, but may not be the best for Alaska. At least in the online kayak group I participate in neoprene has a reputation for warmth and the breathable as non-insulative. I won't vouch either way but it is something you may wish to checkout.

people i've talked too say the neopreme is just too hot..
they wear and additional undergarment under those I mentioned but I will look into it.

I was unhappy with the neoprenes back when I owned some. Hot and uncomfortable. I got some Simms Guide models around 2002 and they have been on annual wilderness river trips to AK or the Yukon, with durations between 2 and 6 weeks. On the Kisaralik River out of Bethel I wore them nearly every day, all day, for 3 weeks. In really cold water some fleece long underwear will keep me warm but I rarely need it.
Several of my friends have Cabela's top model. A couple of them have been satisfied. One had a few leaks and ended up buying Simms. I bought a set of Cabela's for a friend who doesn't use waders as much as I do. They looked pretty decent for the price.

DWK, I looked at these cabelas waders side by side with the simms waders and they look nearly identical so my guess is that they are simms waders made for cabelas

That's good to know. The Cabela's I bought for a friend two years ago were substantially different from my 2002 Simms, but that's to be expected with the difference in manufacture dates. In any event, Cabela's generally has good customer service if you ever experience a problem with them.
