#3 son went to a Gun Show in San Antonio today with his girlfriend's father. I asked him to check on availability and price of Primers. He couldn't buy any right now because he's still 17, but I just wanted to check on the above. He said there were very few (some 100 ct boxes and a few bricks of LR mag) and the ones that there were cost $55 a brick of 1000. No one had bought them though so that tells me that maybe demand might be slipping. Good news, we may see them below $20 again sometime.

I stopped by a local gunshop Friday to see if they happened to have a powder
I use and am in short supply. I was told by the owner that they haven't
had any powder or primers come in in at least seven months. Admittedly our
gunshops are small operations but that still seems extreme.
Do you think the problem is just hoarding or or there other things adding to the
problem? It's hard to imagine the companies can't turn out enough product
to keep up with demand. Anybody heard anything from inside the companies?

purple heart,

My local gun shop here in Mansfield, PA has a lots of powder, primers and bullets on the shelves. My brother down by Allentown says the shelves are bare in the local shops there. I reckon it is hoarders running up prices and making shortages.

I began putting stuff by during the last administration as did many of my friends.
