That would be like asking me if I preferred strawberry or peach ice cream: or maybe brunettes or redheads. It would depend on the day and my mood.:)

i like both stocks but I am partial to stock number 1
I like #1 better in most respects, but the pronounced growth rings throw me a little... And #1 seems a bit darker overall....
Kinda seems like the stock design has just a hair more interest in #1, but I'd bet that it's an optical thing and the two are really identical.
Tough call.
But I'll tell ya... A guy could learn to live with problems like that.

AK-49,
Neither. I prefer a pistol grip on my shotguns. That straight English grip is not to my liking.

All my shotguns are pistol grip.
My brother loaned me an old straight grip Cresent 20 ga sxs for awhile to use for skeet. Nothing fancy, just an old beater hardware store gun.
Can't say I prefer, or do better with either type stock. Just felt rather 'traditional', and I do like the looks. Although, having used a pump gun all my life, for the first round of skeet ..I felt cross eyed. :D

I have a sweet spot for the swan neck handle. It combines the features of both pistol and straight grips and remains a grand classic with FN B25's.
