I had posted a link to that clip on the old site. Good to have it back in circulation.

I could do without her bit about hating hunting (what, she was there at Mickey's for the salad bar?) but even my Mom was sympathetic to Gratia's position on CCW when she heard the story about Gratia being pinned down while her pistol sat out in the car...

And since my dad is a long-standing member of the Denver General Hospital Knife & Gun Club--having seen a lot of shot-up kids--my folks have never been much for doling out carry permits.

I look at my own life and I'm pretty hard pressed to imagine really wanting to carry a sidearm on a regular basis. After all, I don't go places where you could foresee needing one, because those are not good places to be in the first place. I make it my business to avoid those parts of town.

But then there are those freak events where trouble comes to the Good, Solid Citizens' side of the tracks and you wonder what you'd give to be able to protect your family should the need arise...

Good clip. I had not seen this earlier. Controlling guns is still on Obama's agenda, he just hasn't taken it up as yet. He is probably waiting to do this during his second term???
