Lars, you are a lucky guy in a location like that. All I've got is squirrels. I'd better get west pretty soon to catch up on what I've been missing.

I agree, very lucky, and a very nice bull.
In our last house we had deer and turkeys in the yard almost every day, it was just plain fun to watch them. One of the few things I miss about the old place.

This will be a nice elk this year, think what you will have two years from now.
He still has some growing to do and if I can't find any better with any luck come Sept 11th I'll be sending you pic's of the kill.
I'll be keeping an eye on him and will post more photo's showing his growth.
In this pic you can see his width.

Bill, Lars has become very quiet all of a sudden. And I couldn't even locate Pinetop, AZ. on the map, not that any of us would want to shoot his elk you understand.:D

I see you found Pinetop Arizona, one of the premier trophy elk hunting spots in America. Now all you have to do is find my backyard. :) If we didn't have tags for this area in mid-September and late September I would show you ""EXACTLY" where it is. Keep watching for updated pictures.

Lars, you know you always want to keep those big ones a secret.

Heck by the time the rut comes around no telling where he's going to be. I've seen them travel 10 miles or more in one day during the rut. However if I can keep him on this ranch it doesn't matter who I tell where he's at he's all ours.

They can move that far just to have breakfast. If you have enough food and cover plus a few cows in the area he could possibly stick around.
