Time's out too soon !!!!

Swamp,

I'm a VERY slow typer.

Many times now, while writing posts it keeps 'timing-out' without me knowing it (yeah I know .. I'm long-winded). Then, when I'm done typing and click the "submit" button it goes directly to the 'new registration' box and wants me to register.

To save what I just spent time writing, I have to hit the back button, left click and copy what I just wrote, then sign back in, hit 'reply' all over again, paste what I'd writen before into the reply box - then hit submit.

Grrrrr :mad:

Is there anyway to lengthen the 'time-out'. ?????

I've noticed if I use too many smileys and the post is rejected, when I hit the back button, I lose the post. :eek:

be careful with the smileys.

Seemed "time out" related for me.

No mater how many smilies I've used, once it redirected me to register box, if I quickly backed up to the composing page and copied all, then log back in and repost it all - it posts fine.... smilies and all.

I think it just doesn't like this old slow-poke.:confused:

Hi.. I am looking into the time out issue... should be easy to fix...

Also in the meantime... when a member logs in then he or she can select the "remember me" button just to the right side of their name. That will keep that member logged in for a long time...

I thought the "remember me" button was just for when leaving the site and not having to log back in if planning on returning soon ???

I've never had that problem in past except one other site which gives the option of how long you want to stay logged on before it automatically "timed out".

I'll give the "remember me" a try next time I post and see if it makes a differance.

it will now time out after one hour ... but will remain even longer if you select the "remember me" option on log in
