Lots of folks collect stuff; I collect too much stuff. Besides collecting military surplus arms, I collect original issue slings, cleaning kits, field manuals and bayonets.

Back in the 1960s, bayonets went for $1.00 to $5.00 at most surplus stores. At the last gun show here bayonets started about $50.00 and went up to over $500.00. A bayonet collection compliments and completes a military rifle collection. Often at yard sales one can spot some sort of bayonet the seller may assume was a corn knife or just "an old knife."

Who else collects bayonets?
