Has anyone had experience with this action? Seems to have a very good reputation. I am thinking about having a well known riflesmith build me a sheep rifle around this action.

AK, I can't say that I have ever heard of it myself and I am kind of a gun guy. That said, it might be a very good action, but come resale time, if it ever comes to that, a pre-64 M70 or a Montana action might get you a better return for your dollars invested.

AK-49 unrelated but I am curious. Are you the same as the Alaskan clothier AK49?

That's it ? A Reminton 700 clone with a Sako type extractor. Big deal. Bout the only thing that's gonna gain ya over a trued factory action for a huntin' rifle is a bigger price tag.

Viper makes action for Dave Tooley... Given the cost of a custom rifle I don't mind paying a few hundred more bucks more for one of his actions... the stiller actions are far more than a rem 700 clone. I am sure Mr Tooley could explain the differences better than i can.

I don't really care. It's still a push feed, 700 knock off with a Sako type extractor. Ain't gonna do a damn thing my Tikka won't do and it ain't gonna be worth as much as a good custom built on a pre-64 model 70 action. But hey, you wanna waste money be my guest.

Have you actually done any research on the stiller predator action? Why would renown riflesmiths like Bansner and Tooley be using them if they weren't the best?
