Well, today I got my wish and brought another Glock 10mm home. I was so impressed with it's little brother at the range the other day, that I wanted to shoot a full size Glock in that caliber. The double stacked magazine holds 15 plus 1 in the chamber!

We plan on giving it a workout in the morning just to see how it handles wet news print with those 155 and 180 grain bullets. If it shoots as good as the compact model, it will be a keeper you bet.;) :)

I use to carry the Winchester 175 gr. Silvertips in my Colt Delta Elite. I never shot anything 'cept a large feral dog that tried to bite several animal control guys and made an escape from custody. One round in the back of the noggin at 20 yards was very final and quite messy. They might still be worth a look for ya. Congrat's on your new shooter!

MO-GC.......Thanks!....I would love to have a COLT "Delta Elite", like looking for a needle in a haystack most likely.

I shot the Glock 20 this morning and it was very very accurate right out of the box using American 180 grn FMJ ammo. The trigger pull is identical to the compact Glock 29, 10mm that I had purchased first.

I am loving that GLOCK 10mm more and more!!!;)

I put in an order for some ammo to Cabela's today and hope to have it by the middle of next week. Nobody seems to have 10mm ammo these days, except the Defense Ammo for $45 dollars for 20 rounds mind you.

MOGC,

I carried that same Colt and ammo on duty for years before we changed to the Glock .40 cal.
It was a dead acurate gun/round. Put down a few deer with a busted leg from an MVA and it is awesome. Regret having sold it years ago. It even carried nice off duty too. Nice and flat.

TinStar,
I felt well armed with mine. It was accurate and reliable but I had to supply my own ammo for practice and qualifications and .45's were supplied by the department. I swapped it off for a stainless Colt's Gov't .45 ACP. On man sized targets the .45 ACP was as good and with department supplied ammo was a whole bunch cheaper for me to shoot.
