Looking to get started hunting hogs, anywhere in the Tennessee River valley area would be great. Any suggestions on good spots to hunt or groups to hook up with?

Thanks,
Tom

The state of TEXAS is overrun with hogs in some areas! I would call down and ask the local conservation people on what the situation is in various areas. I am sure they can help you find a place or three.:)

Go to Double Springs, AL and talk to the rangers at the WB Bankhead Forest Service Ranger Station one mile north of DS on Hwy 33. They want to get rid of the WBB forest hogs in a real bad way.

My son and I started hunting hogs and deer in the Bankhead forest this last week. So far, in two days of hunting, we've seen a total of 9 deer, all does or yearlings except for one 6 point buck that was hot on the trail of a doe that walked about 15 feet away from me. So far, we haven't seen any sign of hogs yet (wallows or rooted up areas).

Good luck.
