rain. and more rain

This doesn't sound like much to you easterners or west coasters, but here in the high desert, 4" of rain so far in June is, well, let's call it abnormal. Our normal June rainfall is about .6" and we still have 1/3 of the month to go yet. I guess it's making up for the drought we've been in for a number of years. Someone must not have bought enough carbon credits from Algore.

Yuma, AZ averages 3" a year, but 2 of the three years I wasthere they got 6". More immediately we are now into our second summer of drought so you can send us any excess.

I'd gladly give you some of mine. We've probably had about 8" over the last week. It's been raining every couple of days for weeks. I don't know how we're supposed to make any hay.

Most of the hay around here is down and moldy. If they bale it, they'll have fires everywhere. It's a mess.

Rock Chuck, I got the boat tied up to the back porch, just in case we get another one of those overnight 7 inches of rain.....Yeah, 7 inches in one night. Now that will make the creeks go out their banks in a big hurry. :eek:
