Does anyone have experience with the limb saver recoil pads? Many are saying they tame recoil better than the others.

I have and like both. I don't see a huge difference in "taming" recoil... they both work well.

I studied and read up on both. Limbsaver had some early issues with grinding.
And became sticky later. I think those problems have been solved.
I use the Pachmayr Decelerator's on all my family's guns and the difference is amazing (compared to whatever came on each). Each stock was trimmed extra to all for the thicker pad. My wife and son are fighting over my .270 even though it is lightweight. Recoil is not an issue.

I got a Limbsaver "Slip-on" pad to use when sighting in the heavy kickers.
Works super, and your not changing the gun at all.
I never seem to feel the recoil when shooting at game anyways.

Swamp, I have used both - get the Pachmyer. The Sims are ok but they a are very gummy and collect all sorts of dirt and lint. Mine actually stuck to the carpet and I had to rip it off it -no I am not exaggerating. I actually think they are a little too soft too. Now, I am not sure if they have changed design so I want to be fair, mine were the ones that looked as if they are stacked layers from the side. In any case I see no reason to use anything other than a decellerator - great pads all around.

I have no experienced with the "limb saver', but can say I have been quiet happy with the Pachmayer pad.
