Today I heard a Verse: "I hope that you proser and be in good health as your soul prospers."

How does a soul prosper?

Can you cite the reference for that verse? I'm thinking it might be a somewhat loose paraphrase. I can't find a verse (in the NIV) with the words "soul prospers".

"Meaning" is tied directly to audience revelancy; "application" is tied to meaning.

YOU cannot prosper a soul. Only the Lord can do that and only if the person seeks Him. God does not force Himself upon anyone; nor can we force Him upon those not interested.

Well, then, it seems I need to learn how to seek the Lord.

to me it means that your soul prospers as you live the life God wants you to live. we grow as we walk with God. that is our soul prospering. we are becoming closer to God.
