Hey I'm back too. I have that coal stove back together and put a test fire in it yesterday to cure the seams and joints. I ended up using an old water heater tank that I cut down to use as a new liner. You can't even tell from the outside. Now I just need to put the refractory in and I'm in business.

Well, thanks, Sabre! I was a bit “out of pocket” there for a while, but things are fine. Well, fine for me, that is; perhaps not so for this fine site, now that I’ve managed to get logged on to it…:D

Uhm, Alan, actually I was kidding on the "behaving" part.

Or, more accurately, my intention remains to respond to posts directed towards me in kind, matching the tone when possible. On this site most of the time that means a very pleasant discussion. Sadly though it's often the relatively rare exceptions to that that people focus on. Oh well.
