low recoil loads for 375 H&H

i need som low recoil loading data for my 375 n following weights and bullets
260 gr accubond or pt@ 2500 fps
300 gr hornady dgs+ dgx@2350 fps

Dan,

Welcome to the Forum; I see this is only your second post.

I have not loaded for the .375 in quite a while. For low recoil loads, I would suggest cast bullets. Your criteria for 260 grain and 300 grain bullets at 2500 and 2350 fps really does not lend itself to low recoil unless the rifle is very heavy. Your loads do not lend themselves to low recoil, as I recall my days with my .375, because both are mid range loads in the Lyman 49th Reloading Handbook.

hi badger. thank you for the reply.
with low recoil i don't mean reduced loads. i want to bring 375 to the same level as a 9,3x62 in recoil, because those fully loaded 375s are not needed for my hunting situation in sweden. my rifle is a brno 602 in 375 and is rather heavy . but stock design is very bad and send all the recoil to my face instead of shoulder:( i want to make the gun mre pleasent to shoot.

All I can suggest is you use the "Suggested Starting Loads" in your reloading manual to get less recoil. There may be a trade off in that the beginning loads may not be up to your accuracy loads.

The 375 H&H is a BIG rifle and lots of recoil is part of the deal. Maybe you should consider a .30-06 to get the recoil down to acceptable levels.

Buy a reloading manual or two... Do NOT load below recommended levels given in those reloading manuals.. and Do NOT take load data off the internet with first verifying it with a reloading manual!
