A legitimate action by the Legislature AND Judiciary in Honduras, carried out by the military, remove Zelaya. He was trying to short-circuit the Honduran constitution and make himself president for life. Something I assume O'Vomit dreams of as well.

This Halfrican FRAUD in the Oval Office won't condemn the OBVIOUS fraudulent Iranian election but expresses, along with Chavez, Castro and Ortega, full-throated "outrage". Hmmmm.

Obongo didn't say anything about the Irainian election and protests and the government violence because he was thinking about how much he is going to enjoy doing the same thing to those who oppose him here in america.

I think you got it wrong. The Inept One's worst nightmare is the lowest approval ratings in the history of the presidency(which may happen) and a huge Rep. majority in both Houses of Congress. Think 2010 and foward. Most of what he's done could be repealled.

Lets hope so and we should all do what we can to make that happen.

The reason O'Vomit is racing to ram this through, while he has the votes, is that he KNOWS you can't take away or reduce an entitlement. I HATE the very word "entitlement". Once people hear they're entitled to something they assume it's forever. :(

TRY to seriously dismantle welfare and replace the WHOLE thing with WORKfare. JUST try it. The long knives will be in your back so fast you'll think it was a vampire attack.

ALL we can hope for is to stop the bleeding. We do have one thing Newt and the Boys didn't have in 1994: an alternate media that they can't silence-YET!!;)

All it takes to end welfare and replace it is balls. Those who are on it; or should I say those that can and won't work, are in the minority and their vote would not undo things.
Anything can be reppealed that was passed. Even healthcare. If enough complained and the cost in taxes are laid out it can go away. It just takes balls.

unfortunately the opposite holds true in a socialistic society.

and you guys are behind the times with welfare. Nowdays 'disability' is the free retirement ticket.

Yes and no. It is case by case. After working since I was sixteen I wound up on SS Dis. due to COPD and severe arthritis. Worked for 42 years and paid my dues so to speak. Had hoped to be able to work until I was six feet under. I don't consider it a "free ticket" in my case. Along with a very small deputies pension it's the only way I could survive. But I know what you mean. I know a guy who has been on dis. for years and plays 18 holes of golf 3-4 times a week. Hunts deer all the time too. He has a "bad back". A neighbor got hurt on the job as a village cop and is out on full dis. Owns a used car business and works on cars along with his employees. Another "bad back". Same goes for a female trooper with a bad back. She braeks and trains horses. Go figure.

There's a perfectly healthy 6'10" ex-con crackhead down the road on permanent disability for a 'mental condition'.

He sits on the porch or by the pool in a bathrobe and waves at us as we go to work each day. go figure.

I used to work with a machinist (ex-Navy, destroyer duty served at Leyte) who had lost all his right arm below the elbow. Could outwork most of the guys with two good arms all day. Wouldn't set foot in a VA hospital. Whatever the Union didn't cover he PAID HIMSELF.

I know a bunch like that around here. Most of it is a bogus bullshit act put on by lazy folks who've found a free meal ticket. There are alot of them I'd like to introduce to the guy who lives across the road from where I work. He's been a wheelchair bound paraplegic for 15 years now yet still works full time in a computer software business. I myself was pronounced "permanently disabled" by three orthopedic specialists after an on the job accident in 1987. Gave up my railroad disability in 1988 and have been working ever since.
