2) As far as myself and many upstaters; NYC should be a sepatate state and is the cause of many problems for us. NYS is the free-spending politicians dream. Second only to California in devising new ways to tax and drive out business. Of cousre it's dierected tied to it's over-all liberal control.
We are screwed from top to bottom with unfunded mandates first from the Fed., to the state, and then passed to localities. "Unfunded" mandates should not even exist at any level of government. Although both parties have their share on corruption; the Dems. have brought it to a whole new level.

One only needs to take a trip through NYC and some of the larger upstate cities to see the problem. Too many folks too lazy to work; (although able bodied) and on the public dole. It's called buying votes legally. And taxes driven so high that business has flooded out and now there likely isn't jobs enough for those creeps anyway. Way to go liberals.
