On most scopes I've used (not great stuff, the best was a Redfield) I note that if I focus on the reticle the target is fuzzy and vice versa. Most photos show both in tight focus. What am I doing wrong?

I'm no expert but I adjust the rear of the scope so that I see the xhairs plain and crisp at the correct eye relief against the sky, a white background or whatever and then lock it down as it is now focused to my eye. I guess the second part of adjustment is if you have an adj objective and you focus it to clear up any bluriness of the target. The AO will need adjustment as distances change. The other will be fine until your eyesight changes. That's how I always understood it.

Same thing here. Works like a champ.
