I got the peep sight in. Installed it. Shot it. Just like all the reviews said, still shoots high and out of downward adjustment. Filed the bottom of the base so it would slide down more, just like reviewers did. Helped, but not enough.
Engineered a higher tip on the front sight. Now it shoots dead on. With GAMO magnum .22, it hits water-filled gatorade bottles with authority. I like the military style peep too.

I have a williams peep on mine. It sighted in fine without modification and in fact it's just about in the middle of it's adjustment range. Mine has the full billet steroid treatment from Tim McMurray at Mac-1 and cranks out 800 fps with those Gamo magnum pellets.

Now if only the stock had more drop, it would be ideal. Something akin to a Browning humpback shotgun, or a modern Encore.

The above described engineered front sight rise is not enough. It is still hitting high.

I have now devised a plan to make the front sight much higher. Since it is made of brass, I can silver solder it. I will place a couple of water soaked .22 cal cleaning patches in the barrel under the sight to act as heat sinks. Then I will put my small tip on my acetylene torches, and crank it up real small. I am then going to take a stick of silver solder and solder the whole stick one end onto the tip of the front sight. After it cools, I will clip it to length and that should be that.
