After watching the video I am not sure that the rabbi made the connection that the Yeshua of his dreams was the Yeshua the was crucified and rose from the dead there so long ago. If he did, he did not make much of an effort to turn his folks to the risen Christ.

Chris,

I agree that he probable didn't make the connection between the Jesus we worship and His vision. I think it's interesting how hard the Jews have always had understanding that the Kingdom of God was not going to be an earthly Kingdom. Jesus told them repeatedly that the Messiah was not there to kick out the Romans, but inaugurate a spiritual Kingdom. They didn't buy it them, and they aren't buying it now. Pilate got it immediately (my Kingdom is not of this world...), and the message spread like wildfire through the Gentile community;. It didn't take much more than 50 years before the majority of the Church was Gentile.

Chris I would go with the thought that he did not want to push his interpretation on others and wanted them to serch fpr themselves instead of reling on his vision. Kind of like being the vessel that one would have to chose to drink from.
